Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Software Assurance professional to support the Technical Discipline Lead in process improvement and Xiac updates to the Secure Software Factory. You will help with programs requiring software assurance expertise in collaboration with the SW CoTE and work with other technical disciplines to enhance communication and cross-training.

The role emphasizes security, lifecycle processes, and the ability to obtain and maintain required clearances, enabling effective collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 12+ years of software engineering with STEM degree (or 10+ with a Master's, or 8+ with a Ph.D.).
• Experience with at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, Swift).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
• Experience with configuration management systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion).
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Knowledge of RMF – NIST SP 800-53r5.
• Familiarity with CWEs/CVEs.
• Familiarity with JSSEH and AFMAN 91-119.
• Basic knowledge of containers and cloud tech (AWS, VMware, Azure, Kubernetes).
• Basic knowledge of agile processes (Kanban, Scrum, Scrumban).
• Basic knowledge of security metrics and security testing.

• 12 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering with a STEM degree, or 10 years with a Master's, or 8 years with a Ph.D.

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle
• Experience with configuration management systems (GIT, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion)
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
• Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) – NIST SP 800-53r5
• Familiarity with Common weakness enumeration (CWEs)
