Staff Software Engineer – DevSecOps, DevOps

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to stand up a large-scale software factory used by multiple software teams. You will define, design, and implement all segments of the DevSecOps lifecycle across a program, including build, CI, test, cyber, and deployment pipelines.

Required are strong OO language skills, agile experience, and familiarity with Jira/CI/CD and configuration management tools. Ability to obtain DoD Secret and SAP clearances is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM or higher with related software engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one OO language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, Swift).
• Experience with agile software processes (Kanban, Scrum, Scrumban).
• Experience with change management tools: Jira, ClearQuest, or Asana.
• Experience with CI tools: Bamboo, Jenkins, or Gitlab.
• Experience with configuration management systems: GIT, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion.
• Experience with deployment tools: Octopus, ArgoCD, CodeStream, ElectricFlow, AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with metric tools: Tableau, JasperReport, Crystal Report, Talend, Power BI.
• Experience defining and implementing DevSecOps lifecycle (build, CI, test, deployment, cyber, monitoring).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.

• Define, design, and implement all segments of DevSecOps lifecycle - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, and continuous deployment pipeline on a program

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline OR a Master’s degree AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering OR a Ph.D. AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, Swift)
• Experience with developing software using agile processes (Kanban, Scrum, Scrumban)
• Experience with one of the following change management tracking system tools: Jira, ClearQuest, Asana
• Experience with one of the following continuous integration tools: Bamboo, Jenkins, Gitlab
• Experience with one of the following configuration management systems: GIT, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion
