Job summary

Gusto, based in San Francisco, is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to own backend services and APIs that power retirement savings for millions of savers. You will build interfaces for savers to manage their accounts, collaborating with Product, Design, Compliance, and Operations to translate complex financial rules into reliable software.

The Money Planning team delivers features for savers and entrepreneurs to manage contributions, portfolios, and withdrawals, while emphasizing reliability

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails mandatory.
• Strong frontend experience with React.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test the experience that enables savers to manage their 401(k)s, IRAs, and more.
• Contribute to the architecture of existing systems to support new capabilities.
• Apply AI tools as a regular part of your engineering workflow, and bring an AI-native lens to product decisions.
