Job summary

Foundation Health in Orlando is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own critical architecture for our core AI-enabled pharmacy platform. You will write code, shape systems, and make architectural decisions that matter beyond the next sprint.

You’ll lead design discussions, create practical docs, mentor teammates, and coordinate delivery across workstreams. The role combines hands-on coding with strategic influence in a fast-growing Series A environment.

Qualifications

• A track record of building complex systems from scratch — and being able to talk about the specific decisions you made and why.
• High agency. You don't wait for a perfectly scoped ticket. You figure out what needs to happen and do it.
• Comfortable in ambiguity. We're a Series A — things move fast and change often.
• Already using AI tools daily, and interested in pushing that further.
• Strong educational foundation in CS or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design systems that span multiple components and produce design docs used by the broader team.
• Own delivery across workstreams and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
• Write code hands-on and make architectural calls that matter six months from now.
• Mentor and grow teammates, including coaching and hiring efforts.
