Bedrock Talent represents a well-funded healthcare AI startup seeking a Founding Software Engineer. You will define the technical foundation, influence product direction, establish engineering culture, and shape the company’s future while working closely with the founders.

You will own architecture across systems, build scalable data pipelines, and develop AI-powered workflows in a cloud-native environment, making a direct impact on patient services and care coordination.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production software.
• Strong backend engineering and data systems experience.
• Built cloud-native systems in AWS and modern cloud environments.
• Experience with AI tooling and integrating AI workflows.
• Comfortable working across the full stack when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship customer-facing product features end-to-end.
• Own architecture across backend systems, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Build event-driven systems and scalable data pipelines.
• Develop AI-powered workflows leveraging modern LLM technologies.
• Design reliable, secure systems for handling sensitive healthcare data.
• Collaborate with founders on product strategy and technical direction.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and workflows.
• Help recruit and shape the future engineering team.
