Job summary

OpenC3, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to build and enhance the COSMOS hardware interface and orchestration platform. You will work with a team of full-stack developers to deliver, test, and maintain COSMOS, reporting to the CTO.

This remote-leaning role is based in the Denver/Boulder metro area with periodic in-person meetings. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in software engineering, proficiency in Ruby or Python, Vue, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Git, and AI-assisted

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full software engineering lifecycle, from problem description to maintenance, including open-source development on GitHub.
• Collaborate with customers remotely and in-person to enable COSMOS usage.
• Balance multiple concurrent goals through time management and communication.
• Be a critical engineering voice to steer the technical roadmap and processes.
• Stay up to date on industry advances and advocate for their adoption at OpenC3.
