Open Cosmos Ltd. seeks a software engineer to join our Data Division, designing and maintaining satellite flight software and supporting ground tools to ensure reliability for space missions.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electronics and Mission Operations, develop in Rust or C/C++ on Linux/RTOS, participate in CI/CD, and help drive architecture improvements across cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• Strong programming capability in Rust or C/C++ with the motivation to transition to Rust in production
• Proficiency in object-oriented and performance-focused coding
• Experience in Linux development environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, pytest)
• Ability to apply secure coding and fault-tolerant design principles
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and how software interfaces with them
• Awareness of ECSS standards and their implications for software development
• Experience with software verification and validation processes

Mansioni

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain satellite flight software
• Support ground tools, ensuring robustness and traceability
