Job summary

Inizio Evoke is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead production-grade systems across the stack, with strong focus on backend TypeScript/Node.js and Python, plus meaningful frontend work. You will ship APIs and services, help shape architecture, translate direction into concrete plans, and mentor teammates in a small, high-ownership team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong backend expertise in TypeScript (Node.js) and Python, including production-grade APIs/services.
• Experience with React frontend development and modern API design.
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling in production.
• Experience building and operating systems in AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and architectural tradeoffs.
• Experience contributing to design and delivery decisions within small, high-ownership teams.
• Willingness to learn and apply AI-assisted tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack systems with backend depth in TS/Node.js and Python.
• Develop and evolve APIs, services, and data models; contribute to cloud infrastructure and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and translate direction into actionable plans.
• Break down initiatives into executable phases and drive delivery of well-scoped releases.
• Own team operations, backlog grooming, and coordination of technical contributions.
