Staff Software Engineer (Front-End)

This organization is an AI software development company focused on advancing autonomous coding. The team develops a self-hosted cloud development environment to support secure, scalable, and efficient software creation, blending AI-powered agents with human developers.

The Staff Software Engineer (Front-End) will drive core technology advancements, enterprise features, and developer tooling for cloud-based, AI-driven development environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to design and develop cloud-based developer environments using TypeScript, React, and a modern tech stack
• Develop and showcase UI components using Vite, Jest, and Storybook
• Translate product and design requirements into user-centric interfaces with MUI/Material-UI and Figma
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-team collaboration to improve processes and ship features
• Lead the overall architecture and tooling for the frontend platform

Qualifications

• Located in the United States or Canada
• 8+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
• High proficiency in TypeScript and React
• Understanding of back‑end architecture
• Ability to write well‑structured, performant, well‑tested, and documented code
• Strong contributor to team improvement through code and design review, and knowledge sharing
• Familiarity with the relevant tech stack: Go, Postgres, GCP, Kubernetes, gRPC (backend), Typescript, React, Vite (frontend), Prometheus, Grafana, GitHub Actions, GitHub, Slack, Discord, Notion
• Bonus qualifications: experience with major cloud providers, enterprise applications, developer tools, on‑premises software, direct customer interaction, Go, infrastructure technologies (Kubernetes, Nomad, Docker), Linux, WireGuard, Tailscale, Computer Science degree, web-based portfolio or resume
