Cyngn, based in Mountain View, CA, is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for a SaaS fleet management platform. You will design and build a cloud-native system enabling real-time control and monitoring of autonomous industrial vehicles across customer sites.

You will lead a team of engineers, develop APIs, and implement ML-driven analytics to optimize operations, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with backend and distributed systems.
• Cloud-native SaaS platform development experience, preferably in IoT/robotics.
• Proficiency in Python/Go/Java/C++, with knowledge of others.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and event-driven architectures.
• IaC and CI/CD practices (e.g., Terraform, GitOps).
• Leadership history mentoring engineers and guiding teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead development of a cloud-native fleet management system for autonomous vehicles.
• Design scalable, distributed, real-time data processing and decision-making systems.
• Develop robust APIs and microservices for integration with vehicle platforms.
• Create optimized algorithms for routing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Implement analytics and ML features for predictive maintenance and BI.
• Ensure security, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor engineers and drive code quality and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customers to translate requirements into software solutions.
