General Motors LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to guide the MyAccount platform, helping deliver scalable, secure customer experiences. You will set technical direction, build APIs, and drive architectural decisions across teams, while mentoring engineers and aligning roadmaps with business goals.

You’ll work on Next.js/React-based web applications, improving reliability, observability, and performance, and collaborating with product, security, and platform teams in a hybrid on-site role.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in software development for customer-facing web apps at scale.
• Experience influencing architecture and technical direction across teams.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and test strategy expertise.
• Proven mentoring and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex web/platform capabilities.
• Drive technical strategy and architectural alignment across teams.
• Develop web apps using Next.js and React with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Design and develop APIs to enable core business capabilities and evolution.
• Translate goals into technical roadmaps and scalable plans.
• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and developer productivity.
• Ensure monitoring and alerting for existing apps and new features.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, guidance, and collaboration.
