Job summary
Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology for the collectibles market, seeking a Staff Software Engineer to set the Payments team's technical direction. You will own end-to-end payment capabilities, including card, ACH, and wallet flows, while integrating with Stripe, PayPal, and other providers.
The role emphasizes architecture ownership, cross-team collaboration across grading, vault, and marketplace systems, and building scalable, secure payment services within our Santa Ana,
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with ownership of payments or financial services systems.
- Strong expertise in C#/.NET, distributed systems, and scalable architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and gateway integrations (Stripe/PayPal) is required.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture of the Payments domain end-to-end, including services, data flows, and interfaces.
- Design and implement gateway integrations and robust payment workflows across providers.
- Shape product interfaces, data ownership, and migration plans to support growth.
- Collaborate across grading, marketplace, vault, and identity teams to align systems.
- Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of payments infrastructure as part of the tech org.
- Champion onsite collaboration; work with teams in Santa Ana, CA and nearby offices as needed.
