Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Orders to join a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. You will shape and scale a critical order-processing platform that supports complex workflows across multiple teams and functions.

You will partner closely with Product, Design, QA, and engineering stakeholders to deliver reliable capabilities that perform well at scale. The role demands architectural influence and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of delivering platform capabilities across multiple teams.
• Expertise in mobile and backend development, particularly in distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of automated testing and SDLC best practices.
• Experience with modern API technologies, including REST and GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of capabilities on the company's orders platform.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, QA, and engineering teams to develop scalable software.
• Drive architectural decisions for performance and scale; author and review technical designs.
• Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews.
• Align the technical vision for the orders platform with the organization's strategy.
• Act as a domain expert for order processing and synchronization.
• Mentor team members and advocate for best coding practices.
