Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the Money Team to help design and operate the billing and cost-management stack across cloud providers. You will drive pricing strategies, implement robust data pipelines, and collaborate across marketing, product, and engineering to deliver scalable, reliable services.

You will contribute to CI/CD, data quality, reconciliation, and anomaly detection while using advanced Databricks Data + AI tools.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience leading large projects with near real-time data processing and distributed service infrastructure.
• Proven track record building, shipping, and operating reliable distributed services and data pipelines at scale.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across teams.
• A proactive approach and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Money systems and services across Databricks products.
• Develop pricing primitives like Pay-As-You-Go, credits, trials, and promotions.
• Improve CI/CD processes, testing, data quality, reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, commercialization, data science, IT, and support.
• Leverage Databricks Data + AI tools to drive cost insight and optimization.
• Provide leadership in long-term product requirements with engineering teams.
