Databricks, a leader in Data + AI, is hiring a Sr. Staff Software Engineer for the Money team in the United States.

You will own the pricing, billing, and usage workflows across cloud providers, influencing how customers derive value from Databricks products. You will lead large-scale data processing and distributed service initiatives, collaborating with marketing, product, and support teams to standardize billing experiences.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 9+ years of experience building large-scale projects and distributed data pipelines.
• Proven track record shipping and managing reliable distributed services at scale.
• Demonstrated leadership across functional and organizational boundaries.
• Proactive approach and passion for high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Money systems and services to commercialize Databricks products.
• Develop primitives for pricing strategies: Pay-As-You-Go, credits, trials, promotions.
• Improve engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and data quality through CI/CD and testing.
• Collaborate with commercialization teams to implement innovative pricing plans.
• Use AI/LLMs to drive cost insights, prediction, and optimization across clouds.
• Become an expert in Databricks Data + AI tools and platforms.
• Provide long-term vision and requirements for Databricks products with engineering partners.
• Represent Databricks at conferences and events.
