Job summary

Databricks in the United States, Washington, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for the Money team to own the end-to-end billing and pricing systems, including usage ingestion, metering, credits, payments, and analytics.

You will collaborate with marketing, product, data science, and IT to unify billing experiences across cloud providers, driving cost insights, automation, and scalable, reliable services with a focus on data-driven pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Technical leadership experience on large projects with near real-time data processing and distributed service infrastructure management.
• Proven track record of building, shipping, and managing reliable, distributed services and data pipelines at scale.
• Demonstrated leadership across functional and organizational boundaries.
• Proactive approach and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the Money systems and services, commercializing Databricks products and offerings.
• Develop pricing primitives enabling Pay-As-You-Go, credits, trials, and promotions.
• Improve engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and accuracy, including CI/CD, testing, and data quality.
