Sr. Staff Software Engineer - Money Team (Bellevue, Washington)

Overview

At Databricks, we build the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform. The Money team maximizes value for customers through innovative commercialization strategies and cutting-edge engineering, delivering a seamless billing and usage experience across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Money systems and services that commercialize all Databricks products.
• Develop innovative primitives for pricing strategies such as Pay-As-You-Go, commissions, credits, trials, and promotions.
• Enhance engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and response times, including CI/CD, test frameworks, data quality assurance, reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with commercialization experts to create and implement new pricing strategies and plans.
• Use AI and LLMs to innovate in cost insight, prediction, and optimization.
• Become an expert in Databricks Data + AI tools.
• Lead long-term product vision and requirements in partnership with engineering teams.
• Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 9+ years of experience building large projects, including near-real-time data processing and distributed service infrastructure.
• Proven track record of building, shipping, and managing reliable, distributed services and data pipelines at scale.

Pay Range
