Robinhood Markets, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Brokerage Infra. You’ll define the technical vision, lead modernization, and manage a 10+ engineer team, ensuring reliability at scale across Robinhood’s tier zero platform.

You will collaborate across infra and product groups, own critical incidents, and help shape hiring and culture as the platform grows in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience including staff-level roles.
• Experience with tier-zero / mission-critical systems.
• Proven track record leading teams of ~10 engineers.
• Experience with architectural migrations or modernization efforts.
• Strong ownership and accountability in high-stakes environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management across infra and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for the platform.
• Lead and mentor a team of 10+ engineers across levels.
• Drive modernization and resolve core storage bottlenecks.
• Own reliability and uptime KPIs including subsecond latency, HA, capacity planning.
• Collaborate across infrastructure and product teams to enforce standards.
• Identify risks, implement preventative solutions, coordinate incident response.
• Shape hiring and engineering culture as the platform scales.
