Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience building scalable, fault‑tolerant products or platforms.
• Proficiency in Go, C/C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript with ability to set organizational standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise designing mission‑critical distributed systems at internet scale.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and execute.
• Proven track record solving challenging technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong mentorship and team growth experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long‑term technical strategy and architecture for Marketplace Segmentation.
• Lead large, ambiguous initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams to meet strategic goals.
• Provide mentorship to senior and staff engineers to raise technical standards.
• Identify fundamental challenges in matching, pricing, and user experience with innovative solutions.
• Represent the team in cross‑functional forums with Product, Data Science, and Exec leadership.
• Architect highly scalable, resilient systems for real‑time, global market conditions.
• Establish and advocate best practices in design, testing, and operations.
