About the Team

Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) provides end‑to‑end fulfillment solutions for Walmart Marketplace sellers, supporting scalable business growth. The team comprises Engineering, Product, Business, and Analytics professionals collaborating to develop innovative supply chain features like inbound inventory simplification and personalized forecasting. Focused on high‑performance, scalable solutions, the group drives iterative development, technical architecture, and engineering excellence. Team members work closely with cross‑functional partners to adapt to evolving business needs, optimize platform scalability and cost, and foster continuous improvement and innovation in platform design and development.

What You'll Do

Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.

Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Apply cloud‑native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.

Lead system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.

Build AI‑driven applications integrating ML components and intelligent automation features.

Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Engage stakeholders to define technical requirements and use data‑driven practices to optimize development outcomes.

What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proven expertise in cloud‑native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
  • Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to deliver maintainable and modular solutions.
  • Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
  • Ability to integrate AI/ML components and develop intelligent automation features using languages such as Python, JavaScript, and C++.
  • Demonstrated skills in technical leadership, mentorship, and fostering continuous learning within engineering teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage cross‑functional stakeholders and drive data‑driven decision making.
  • Adaptability to change and commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
