Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Information Security to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure software solutions. You will work with cross-functional partners to analyze requirements, manage risks, and drive CI/CD practices while enforcing security protocols.

The team modernizes authentication services using Microsoft Entra and Okta, delivering secure, phishing-resistant, risk-based, Zero Trust-aligned solutions across platforms such as FIDO2 and Passkeys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/engineering/cybersecurity or related field.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience in tech/retail/data-driven company OR 6+ years in similar role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements for information security solutions.
• Design scalable, secure software architectures meeting security, availability, and maintainability standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain secure code following industry best practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Conduct risk analysis and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Monitor security issues and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Lead root cause analysis for defects and vulnerabilities.
• Develop integration with Microsoft Entra and Okta to provide modern authentication services.
