SafeLease in Austin is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own and ship features across the full stack. You’ll collaborate closely with company leadership to tackle high-impact technical challenges and shape the platform’s future.

The role is based in our downtown Austin office with a hybrid schedule after onboarding, offering a fast-paced environment, strong engineering culture, and opportunities to mentor peers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a full-stack role delivering complex features at scale.
• Degree in CS/EE.
• Proficiency in frontend (TypeScript/JS/React), backend (Node.js/Express/REST), and infra (SQL, Git, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Lead development across products — Architect, build, and ship high-quality code across our entire platform.
• Design scalable, elegant solutions — Collaborate with Product to deliver customer-centric features.
• Own issue resolution — Triage, prioritize, and resolve system-level issues; guide best practices.
• Champion continuous improvement — Improve system performance, code health, and team efficiency.
• Advocate for the user — Build with empathy and understand customer needs.
• Mentor and elevate others — Coach teammates and foster a culture of learning and rigor.
