Job summary

Unity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its gaming AI team to lead delivery of cloud services and features powering the next generation of the Unity platform. You will influence architecture and drive cloud-related front-end and back-end work across teams.

You will work with Claude Code and other AI developer tools, champion scalable, performant cloud solutions, and partner with AI, infrastructure, and data groups to advance Unity's AI direction.

Qualifications

Experience delivering scalable cloud services and cloud-based features.
Experience designing performant full-stack systems (frontend, cloud services, devops).
Ability to drive technical direction within a team and align with leadership on strategic vision.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver cloud-based services for the game creation platform.
Build front-end features as part of full-stack systems.
Optimize cloud services for scale and performance.
Apply cloud service design patterns to cloud applications.
Use AI developer tools (e.g., Claude Code) daily.
Handle DevOps tasks: CI/CD, monitoring, DB maintenance.
Drive technical direction with leadership.
Collaborate with AI, infrastructure, and data teams.
