Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Staff Quality Engineering Lead to own the quality bar for the Gaming AI organization, ensuring AI-generated code is correct, fast, and cost-efficient across frontend, backend, and pipelines. You will design AI-assisted review, automated remediation, and end-to-end tests that adapt to changing requirements and non-deterministic outputs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or quality leadership.
• Proven track record building quality frameworks, platforms, and tooling.
• Hands-on use of AI and agent tooling in the software development lifecycle.
• Experience designing evaluation for systems without a single correct answer.
• Ability to drive performance and cost as quality attributes.
• Leadership through influence across engineering, art, and product.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy for Gaming AI across frontend, backend, and dependent systems.
• Build AI-native quality systems including AI-assisted code review and automated remediation; drive coverage with generated tests.
• Design and operate AI-as-a-judge methodology across generated code, bug detection and repair, art and design.
• Lead defect analytics, triage, prioritization, and reporting to leadership with clear ownership.
• Embed quality practices early in requirements and design; drive cross‑discipline adoption.
