Ode with Anthropic in San Francisco area is seeking an experienced engineer-leader who thrives in hands-on coding while shaping technical direction for AI products. You will work with a small team, guide architecture, and engage directly with client CTOs to ensure solutions meet real-world needs.

You will spend most time coding, yet influence product strategy and engineering culture, aiming to push frontier AI into production while learning rapidly in a uniquely impactful environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with a track record shipping end-to-end products.
• Interest in applying software engineering fundamentals to AI systems.
• Comfort talking with senior technical stakeholders and clients.
• High ownership mindset with initiative and accountability.
• Humility and integrity in teamwork and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and write code for AI products.
• Collaborate with clients and their CTOs to understand problems and tradeoffs.
• Build and ship AI software on a small, high-caliber team (2–5 engineers + PM).
• Allocate ~75% of time to coding and ~25% to client work.
