Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an experienced Applied AI Engineer to partner with senior customer leaders and transform pilots into production through OpenAI APIs. You will design enterprise architectures, guide engineering teams, and deliver frontier AI solutions across industries.

You will collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Product to ensure customer value, applying a product mindset and strong technical leadership in a hybrid in-office setting in SF or Seattle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical consulting (or equivalent) experience.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript.
• Built and/or delivered prototypes on top of our API platform.
• Led complex technical projects with many stakeholders.
• Able to identify opportunities to maximize business value using OpenAI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to ideate and build novel applications on OpenAI APIs.
• Provide guidance to maximize business impact and accelerate time to value.
• Prototype and test solutions with customers.
• Manage relationships with customer leadership to ensure deployment at scale.
• Contribute to open-source resources and knowledge sharing.
