Job summary

GoGuardian is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and maintain the GG App across Windows, macOS and iOS. You will own installer engineering, deployment paths, and the auto‑update system on hundreds of thousands of school devices, collaborating with the Core team to deliver reliable software.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, mentoring, and championing best practices, including AI adoption in development, security considerations, and automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with desktop/client applications.
• Deep Windows platform expertise: installers, services, registry, and code signing.
• Strong PowerShell and scripting for automation and deployment.
• Experience deploying software through enterprise systems management tools.
• Knowledge of AI adoption in development and engineering workflows.
• Proven track record shipping production software to end users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the GG App across Windows, macOS, and iOS.
• Own Windows installer engineering: MSI/EXE, WiX Toolset, silent install flows.
• Develop deployment paths for Intune, GPO, SCCM, PDQ, and MDM solutions.
• Design and operate the auto-update system with signed packages.
• Write scripting to automate installation, uninstallation, and logging.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Support to improve deployment.
• Lead architecture decisions for the Core team.
• Mentor developers and promote AI-driven development practices.
