Job summary

Voleon Group is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Infrastructure team to scale data infrastructure, design and deliver large-scale projects, and collaborate with ML researchers. You will work with engineers and researchers to improve data tooling and production workflows, while shaping the team's technical roadmap.

We value strong programming skills (Python/Go/Java/C++), extensive Linux experience, and a track record of building reliable, scalable services and data storage solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong software design and robust implementation.
• Experience with large codebases and modular architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java or C++.
• Hands-on Linux/UNIX development experience.
• Design and implement scalable services and data infra.
• Experience with data storage technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Guide complex initiatives from requirements to deployment, evaluating technologies and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Build scalable data infrastructure and shape the developer experience, including data cataloging and lineage.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and research staff, fostering a collaborative growth environment.
