Job summary

The Voleon Group in New York City invites a Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team. You will design, scale, and deliver data tooling and services that support research and production workflows, working with ML researchers and engineers to advance our data platforms.

You will mentor engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and ensure robust, maintainable systems across large codebases, with a focus on correctness, efficiency, and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Guide complex initiatives from requirements gathering to deployment, evaluating technologies and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Build scalable data infrastructure and shape developer experience, owning data cataloging, versioning, and lineage.
• Provide technical guidance to both engineering and research staff to accelerate team growth.
