Job summary

Rad AI is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join a mission-driven team building AI-powered radiology solutions. You’ll work with full-stack engineers, ML engineers, and product leaders to deliver scalable, secure software used by healthcare providers across the U.S.

In this role, you’ll develop backend services in Python/FastAPI, design robust APIs, and mentor engineers while solving complex performance and security challenges in HIPAA-compliant environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience in multi-tenant environments.
• Deep knowledge of Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with relational and document databases and large-scale data storage.

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale web applications to streamline user workflows.
• Build Python/FastAPI backend services including REST APIs and ML pipelines.
• Add features to support a growing customer base.
• Write secure, maintainable code for HIPAA-compliant environments.
• Collaborate with Product, ML, Data Science, and Customer Success teams.
• Suggest improvements to quality, security, and performance across the team.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design collaboration.
