GEICO is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Staff Engineer with a passion for building high-performance, low maintenance, zero-downtime platforms and applications. The focus will be on optimizing and resolving performance issues in our commercial insurance tech platforms. You will contribute to our insurance business transformation as we shift from a traditional IT model to a tech organization committed to engineering excellence, fostering a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.
The Staff Software Engineer will work alongside Senior Staff and Senior Engineers to innovate, build new systems, improve existing ones, and identify new opportunities to leverage your expertise in solving critical problems. You will lead the development of a technical roadmap aimed at increasing product delivery velocity and expanding engineering capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of both front-end and back-end technologies and will be proactive in enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet growing business demands is essential.
