Job summary

Remi is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and maintain core software for the world’s first three‑sided roofing marketplace. You’ll work on mobile-friendly homeowner and subcontractor portals, automate workflows, and integrate third‑party services to scale roofing projects.

You will own technical direction for a section of the engineering team, tackle challenging problems, and collaborate with product managers and designers to meet an ambitious roadmap in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent software development experience.
• Ability to solve difficult, ambiguous technical problems independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership of technical solutions to product and business problems.
• Deep familiarity with modern web development (frontend, databases, networking).
• Fundamental knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and how the web works.

Responsibilities

• Build, refactor, and support features, automations, and integrations in TypeScript and Next.js.
• Own technical direction, architecture, and strategy for a section of the engineering team.
• Solve our most challenging technical problems across the proprietary roofing stack.
• Invest in platform-wide changes to improve security, reliability, and performance.
• Lead and collaborate with teammates to solve difficult technical problems.
• Partner with product managers and designers to deliver on an ambitious roadmap.
