Job summary

Ontic is seeking a seasoned full stack engineer to guide architecture and engineering practices across multiple teams. You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and solve cross-system challenges in a way that raises the bar for the entire organization.

This role focuses on building scalable backend services with Java/Spring Boot and frontend systems using React/TypeScript. You will partner with product and security teams to deliver robust, secure solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 3+ years driving architecture or strategy across multiple teams.
• Deep experience designing high-scale, distributed data systems.
• Strong skills in backend design and RESTful APIs for scalable products.
• Proven ability to lead across teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Strategy: Define and drive technical architecture for multi-team systems.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering and product leaders on complex initiatives.
• Technical Leadership: Set engineering standards and best practices across groups.
