Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive architectural direction and deliver scalable software in a microservices environment. You will mentor teams, guide technology choices, and help modernize critical systems while collaborating with product owners to align with business goals.

You will design and implement architectures using Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes, ensure robust REST/GraphQL services, and uphold strong CI/CD practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with architecture principles and design patterns.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Java, React/Angular, SQL/NoSQL, and web services.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise architecture guidance and define technical vision with a focus on microservices and replaceability.
• Evaluate technology choices to meet business strategy and future needs.
• Mentor software engineers and QA staff; lead design reviews and code reviews.
• Develop, maintain, and modernize applications; automate deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
