The Platform Architect (Staff Software Engineer) will play a crucial role in the maturation and expansion of our existing and future SaaS product’s architecture and platform. We are looking for an experienced, pragmatic, hands-on architect who can lead, collaborate, and create an architectural vision that aligns with our business objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  1. In collaboration with other software engineers and architects develop software and platform vision/architecture that supports the development of individual systems and the integration of systems across product lines
  2. Collaborate with multiple functional areas to identify business needs and ensure solutions are developed that fit into the overall architectural vision and strategy
  3. Determine high-level sizing of product and feature development
  4. When needed, lead initiatives or small teams tackling high-impact foundational projects
  5. Collaborate with engineers and architects from other business units to create integration strategies between products
  6. Work with engineering teams to implement appropriate design patterns and best practices
  7. For large scale additions and new products, define, build, and critique POC’s and foundational infrastructure
  8. Conduct code reviews
  9. Aid in troubleshooting our most difficult problems
  10. Critique solutions in a positive and constructive manner
  11. Document proposals, solutions, architecture, best practices, etc.

What You’ll Need:

  1. Degree in Computer Science or related field
  2. Minimum experience: 8 years
  3. 7+ years of System Architecture experience
  4. Experience with SaaS product development
  5. Expertise with one or more public clouds (Azure strongly preferred)
  6. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, data privacy and security
  7. Experience leading initiatives or small teams
  8. Effective communicator, capable of presenting ideas and information to Senior & Executive Management
  9. Can work autonomously on all classes of work assigned
  10. Design Patterns, OO Design, Service Oriented Design, Domain Driven Design
  11. System diagramming experience
  12. C#, .Net, .Net Core, WebAPI
  13. JavaScript
  14. SQL Databases
  15. REST, JSON Services
  16. T-SQL
  17. Agile

Preferred but not required skills include:

Where You’ll Work:

Our headquarters is located in Chesterfield in St. Louis County; however, some local positions will be remote until the time is right to return to the office while other roles are more office-based. Fully remote employees will stay remote.

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $166,500 USD - $222,700 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
