Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Built real systems with LLMs or agents
• Experience solving technical problems in science/engineering fields
• Startup or startup-like environment experience
• Ability to work with expert users and translate needs into usable software
• Willingness to own end-to-end software in collaborative settings

Responsibilities

• Build agent harnesses and research loops from literature to design iteration
• Integrate scientific computing and simulation tools for Claude to drive at scale
• Design evaluations to verify Claude’s work and identify limitations
• Work with scientists to understand problems, data, tools, and constraints
• Prototype with partners, ship pilots, and prune work that doesn’t advance the problem
• Turn successful engagements into reusable tools and documented processes
• Explain results, limits, and tradeoffs to researchers and leadership
• Collaborate with research and product teams to shape future models
