Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with strong fundamentals.
• Experience building real systems with large language models (agents, tools, evaluations).
• Technical problems in science or engineering fields.
• Track record of zero-to-one work in startup-like environments.
• Ability to work with expert users and stay focused on the right system.

Responsibilities

• Build agent harnesses and research loops from literature to enable hypothesis generation, simulation, analysis and design iteration.
• Connect scientific computing and simulation tools to drive Claude at scale.
• Design evaluations to determine correctness and honesty of results, noting limitations.
• Work with scientists and engineers to turn open questions into well-defined, verifiable tasks with clear success criteria.
• Prototype with partners, ship pilots into workflows, and prune non-value-adding work.
• Turn successful engagements into reusable tools and documented processes for future use.
• Explain Claude's performance, results, limitations, and tradeoffs to researchers and engineering leads.
