Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Staff or Senior Staff Software Engineer to own multi-team engineering projects across product lines, collaborating with AI, Legal, and GTM teams. You’ll build secure systems and ship AI-native capabilities, spanning web, desktop, mobile, and embedded experiences, including integration with Word, Outlook, and Slack.

Hybrid work with three days in office in NYC or SF. You will mentor senior engineers, define technical bets, and drive scalable, product-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product-focused software engineering (Staff level or higher).
• Depth in full stack, backend, or AI domains and ability to contribute across multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high-priority projects spanning multiple teams and define technical bets for upcoming quarters.
• Build AI-native capabilities, including agent harnesses, loops, tool use, memory and evals.
• Architect robust surfaces (web, desktop, mobile, embedded) and APIs for streaming results and long-running processes.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the bar for the org’s engineering practices.
