Job summary

Sonatype is a software supply chain security leader seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design enterprise-grade, agentic-first capabilities within Nexus Repository Manager. You will set technical direction, orchestrate fleets of agents, and mentor engineers to secure software supply chains at massive scale.

You will shape the product area, align with cross-functional teams, and define practices that elevate engineering excellence and security across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, cloud platforms, and large-scale distributed systems.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security, SBOMs and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect & lead agentic-first subsystems across architecture, data models, and integrations.
• Own a major product area from design through rollout and long-term operability.
• Focus on verification, design reviews, and guardrails to enable ship-taste coding.
