Job summary

Higharc is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical architecture and delivery of our Home Design Experience, a browser-based 3D tool that lets anyone design a home. You’ll report to the VP of Engineering and partner with the product/UX lead to shape the future of our design platform.

You will own architecture from prototype to production, driving performance, testing, and cross-team collaboration while mentoring engineers and establishing reusable patterns across Higharc apps.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting, building, and shipping substantial web apps from design to production.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience with browser-based 3D tools (Three.js) or CAD-like interfaces is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Prototype new home design workflows and turn successful ones into customer-ready software.
• Lead development of interactive 3D design workflows and integrate frontend with backend data and real-time 3D rendering.
• Own architecture and delivery across frontend, state, and services; focus on performance, reliability, and testing.
• Partner with product/UX to challenge assumptions and decide what to build next.
• Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Define reusable patterns across applications and document them for the team.
