Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD to lead architecture and development of production-grade, data-driven SPAs and backend services. You will design real-time telemetry, operational workflows, and scalable features across the stack.

The role demands strong full-stack capabilities, system-thinking, and the ability to mentor engineers. Onsite collaboration is preferred, with potential for hybrid arrangements and face-to-face teamwork in a mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree, or 6+ years with a masters degree.
• Proven experience designing and delivering significant production software systems.
• Strong full-stack capability, including frontend and backend services.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions clearly.
• Experience solving complex engineering problems in a disciplined, high-accountability environment.
• Ability to write software independently; AI-enabled tools welcome but not a substitute.

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help develop customer-facing command-and-control software for mission-critical systems.

This is a hands-on, full-stack engineering role for someone who thinks in systems, not just features. The successful candidate will lead the architecture and development of production-grade single-page applications and the backend services that support them, including real-time telemetry, operational data, and complex workflows.

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based. Strong preference is given to candidates available for onsite collaboration in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Hybrid arrangements may be considered. Remote candidates will not be prioritized.
