Job summary

Voxtelesys is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain web and service stack components. You will contribute to API, UI, and system development, while aligning with product needs in an agile environment.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development and modern tech like TypeScript, Node.js, Vue.js, Go, SQL/NoSQL databases, and container orchestration. On-site options available in the Omaha area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• At least 5 years of Node.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Go experience.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Redis/Elasticsearch).
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design, build, and maintain APIs, UIs, services, and systems.
• Work with management to analyze customer needs and develop software solutions.
• Use AI development tools to accelerate development, prototyping, code review, and testing while maintaining high code quality.
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency.
• Document all programming tasks and procedures.
• Perform routine software maintenance.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining new and existing applications and services. You will also use your deep understanding of the full-stack to guide the upper management team with software design and architecture decision making.

In addition, you will work closely with members of our engineering team in an agile framework and will utilize CI/CD best practices. We move fast, and we expect you to leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, to accelerate design, implementation, testing, and documentation. Your daily work will be spent in our web-stack (TypeScript, Node.js, Vue.js, SQL) and our service stacks (Node.js, Go, SQL, NoSQL); therefore, significant knowledge of these technologies is required. Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Linux is a plus.

• 5 years of Node.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Go
• 5 years of relational databases such as MySQL and MariaDB
• 2 years of NoSQL databases such as MongoDb, Redis, and Elasticsearch
• Hands-on experience developing with AI tools such as Claude Code, with a track record of shipping quality software at a fast pace
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with DevOps
• Familiarity with Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS
• Experience with software development lifecycles
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with UI/UX design
• Networking experience is a plus
