Job summary

DealHub.AI in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the strategic technical direction of our billing platform, architect major end-to-end distributed systems, and provide high-impact technical leadership across the engineering organization.

You will partner with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to design, scale our next-generation billing and subscription management platform while setting engineering standards and technical strategy.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of enterprise software engineering experience with deep expertise in Java, distributed systems, and scalable backend architectures.
• Experience architecting and operating mission-critical, distributed financial or billing platforms at scale.
• Proven track record of technical leadership, staff-level mentorship, and influencing engineering direction across an organization.
• Experience using data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Establish high engineering standards and govern architectural consistency across all platform microservices and infrastructure.

• Partner with R&D leadership to elevate engineering execution, culture, and technical capabilities.
• Architect for high availability, fault tolerance, and multi-tenant scalability while proactively driving initiatives to reduce technical debt.
