Qualifications

• Experience with backend or distributed systems in production.
• Ability to own architecture decisions across teams.
• Strong judgment for balancing product needs with platform stability.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build shared services and APIs for billing, subscriptions, and payments across products.
• Design lifecycle orchestration and state synchronization across internal services, vendors, processors, and app stores.
• Solve correctness and recovery problems involving asynchronous events, partial failures, retries, and reconciliation.
• Improve payment resilience through processor integrations, routing, and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with risk and integrity teams to prevent abuse while maintaining reliable customer experiences.
• Build testing, observability, and operational tooling to detect, diagnose, and resolve failures.
• Provide technical leadership through hands-on development, design reviews, and mentorship.
• Lead initiatives from problem definition through rollout and ongoing operation.
