Job summary

Storm2 is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in New York to act as a technical leader and force multiplier within our engineering org. You’ll own complex, high-impact systems, shape platform direction, and uplift the team through mentorship and smart trade-offs.

You’ll drive multi-team initiatives, partner with product and design, and help scale our services to meet rapid client demand while maintaining security and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling web-based software products.
• Track record of owning and delivering complex technical projects with measurable cross-team impact.
• Deep expertise in full-stack development, distributed systems, or large-scale backend architecture.
• Experience influencing technical direction and driving alignment across teams without formal authority.
• Excellent communication skills — articulating complex technical concepts to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Your work will shape the foundation of our platform and help scale to meet the demands of a rapidly growing client base.
