Rocket Homes Real Estate LLC, a Detroit-based company, is seeking a senior software engineer to solve complex problems across our value stream using advanced software solutions. You will help release, validate, and standardize processes, while mentoring teams and driving AI adoption across engineering.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, refine requirements from business inputs, and lead design reviews to improve delivery patterns across multiple teams and platforms.

• Track record of solving high-level problems through innovative software solutions.
• Experience with the programming languages, frameworks and platforms used across the value stream, such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular or AWS, ideally with expertise in C# and/or AWS.
• Expertise developing software modules or patterns used across multiple teams.
• Experience refining software integration and delivery patterns to improve ongoing support.
• Experience helping develop work items from business requirements, such as refining requirements and assisting with software design.
• Expertise mentoring and developing others.

• Assist leadership with improving flow by identifying and helping address technical debt and process issues for the value stream.

Minimum Qualifications

• Track record of solving high-level problems through innovative software solutions.
• Experience with the programming languages, frameworks and platforms used across the value stream, such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular or AWS, ideally with expertise in C# and/or AWS.
• Expertise developing software modules or patterns used across multiple teams.
• Experience refining software integration and delivery patterns to improve ongoing support.
• Experience helping develop work items from business requirements, such as refining requirements and assisting with software design.
• Expertise mentoring and developing others.
• Experience providing thought leadership to influence software development practices across internal groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 9 years of experience in a professional software engineering or similar role.
• Expertise developing for a cloud environment or advanced cloud provider certification, ideally AWS.
• Expertise designing or refining agent-driven software delivery.
• Experience building self-serve configuration tools or pricing/eligibility systems, ideally in mortgage or financial services.
• Hands-on experience using AI to disrupt legacy problem spaces and accelerate software delivery.

On-Call Expectations

This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $149,000.00-$318,000.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
