CVS Health seeks a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications, bridging backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences.

As a hands-on leader, you will design dashboards, build resilient microservices, and orchestrate integrations with data objects and third-party platforms while embedding AI-driven features across the product suite.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development and scalable applications.
• Mastery of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and data visualization libraries.
• Deep experience with server-side languages and scalable microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data feeds integration.
• Hands-on AI model and API integration experience (OpenAI/Anthropic).
• Cloud expertise with AWS/Azure/GCP and CI/CD tooling.
• Strong communication and ability to explain architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and development of scalable web apps across frontend and backend systems.
• Design rich dashboards and interfaces to surface complex data insights effectively.
• Build secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data sources and third-party systems.
• Champion AI/ML features to automate workflows and provide intelligent insights.
• Advance orchestration, monitoring, and self-service capabilities.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC for high availability.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product leadership on the tech roadmap.
