Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge complex backend data systems, AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences, owning dashboards, microservices, and integrations.

You will mentor teams, drive DevOps and IaC, champion AI-driven features, and ensure operational excellence across the stack, focusing on payer operations, data enrichment, and contract automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development, system architecture, and scalable applications.
• Experience with modern JS/TS frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Highcharts).
• Deep API design and microservices experience; relational and NoSQL databases; data integration.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Full Stack Development: end-to-end design of scalable web apps, frontend and backend.
• Dashboarding & Data Visualization: build rich dashboards and UI for data insights.
• Backend & Data Integrations: secure APIs; connections to databases and third-party systems.
• AI Enablement: integrate AI/ML features into products; automation and insights.
• DevOps & Cloud Infra: CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Operational Excellence: monitoring, logging, performance Profiling, incident management.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: set standards, mentor engineers, align with product roadmap.
• Self Starter: handle ambiguity and engage stakeholders.
