Overview

This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reconciliations, and support for audits and month-end close processes. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities may span both routine accounting tasks and more complex financial analysis, making this role suitable for professionals with experience at both staff and senior levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and variances to support reporting and decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper expense coding and budget alignment.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
• Prepare schedules and reports for tax filings and regulatory compliance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and accounting software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
