Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Staff Security Software Engineer to architect and govern the shared Security AI platform. The role spans identity, isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, and secure integration across security functions.

You will drive multi-year engineering direction, establish patterns for confidentiality, sandboxing, and egress control, and mentor teams to raise reliability and safety standards across the security AI ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, security platform architecture, or systems security.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud-native systems architecture (Kubernetes, distributed systems).
• Ability to lead across VP/Director-level orgs on complex architectural transformations.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML security, trust boundaries, and secure deployment of AI-enabled systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the shared Security AI platform architecture and standards.
• Lead production-grade platform capabilities for safe, reliable AI security personas.
• Align engineering and security leaders on platform direction and adoption priorities.
• Mentor engineers on distributed systems, AI security engineering, and architectural reviews.
